The Deal

Zero cost to you.
Real savings from day one.

EMCS installs the battery, pays for everything, and operates it for the life of the agreement. The battery reduces your utility bill. You keep the savings. We earn revenue from grid-services programs the battery qualifies for. Clean deal, no overlap.

Why free? The battery qualifies for Massachusetts grid-services incentive programs (Clean Peak credits and Connected Solutions payments). That revenue is ours. Your bill savings are a completely separate flow. The math works cleanly for both sides.

Is Your Site a Fit?

We pick our sites carefully.
Here's what we look for.

Not every site qualifies -- and we'd rather tell you up front than waste your time. Check the boxes that apply to your facility.

Commercial or industrial site in Massachusetts

Warehouse, manufacturing, cold storage, office complex, retail, healthcare facility, or similar.

Peak electricity demand around 200 kW or higher

If you're on a G3 tariff (National Grid or Eversource), that's 200+ kW sustained for 3 months. You're a strong candidate. G2 sites are welcome to apply; we'll evaluate case by case.

Served by National Grid or Eversource

Our first cohort is MA-only. If you're on another utility, get on the waitlist -- we're expanding.

Physical space for the equipment

Two compact battery enclosures, roughly the footprint of two large refrigerators. Indoor wall-adjacent or outdoor pad acceptable. No special fire-suppression room required.

Not a decision-maker? That's fine too.

If you work at a facility that might qualify but you're not the owner or facilities manager, there's a separate path for you. Keep reading.

The Champion Program

You don't have to be
the boss to get paid.

Most of our best sites won't be found by Googling. They'll be found by someone inside the building — a warehouse supervisor who noticed the utility bills, a facilities coordinator who has the GM's ear, an operations manager who runs the numbers. That person deserves a reward.

First Internal Champion Bonus
$5,000 bonus
Paid to the first person at your organization who brings a qualifying site to EMCS
1
You register the site

Give us your contact info and the facility address. You don't need sign-off from anyone yet — just tell us about the site.

2
EMCS reaches out to the right decision-maker

We'll contact the property owner or facilities lead directly. You've already done the hard part — pointing us in the right direction.

3
If the site installs, you get $5,000

Paid at installation completion — either directly or arranged through your organization. You're the reason it happened. You get recognized for it.

Bonus paid upon first EMCS system reaching COD (commercial operation date) at the referred site. One bonus per site per individual. EMCS will work with your employer on the appropriate payment structure where required.

Your spot is held once you submit. EMCS will reach out within 48 hours to confirm eligibility.

🏢
I'm the decision-maker
Owner, GM, facilities lead
I'm referring a site
I work there or know the right person

You're registering as an Internal Champion. If your referral leads to an installation, you'll receive the $5,000 champion bonus.

Add key contacts for us to reach out to (optional but helpful)
Contact 1 -- Decision-maker, owner, or facilities lead
Contact 2 -- Utility account holder, landlord, or another decision-maker
🔒 Your information is only shared with the EMCS team. We'll follow up within 48 hours.
Optional But Powerful

Skip the range.
Get a real number.

The savings we quoted ($50–100K/yr) are typical for a qualifying G3 site. Authorize 60 seconds of utility data access and we'll calculate your actual number before we even get on a call.

What is UtilityAPI?

A secure, utility-authorized platform that pulls your 15-minute interval data with your permission. We use it to run your site through TCMAT — our calculation engine — and return a site-specific number. Read-only. Revocable anytime.

No UtilityAPI? No problem. We'll send you a follow-up with the link.
Or just forward your most recent bill to hmeyer@emergentmicrogrid.com -- a PDF, screenshot, or even a photo of the paper bill works.

You're registered

You're on the Fall 2026 list.

EMCS will reach out within 48 hours to confirm your site's eligibility. If you authorized utility data access, we'll have a site-specific number ready when we talk.

1
EMCS reviews your site (within 48 hrs)

We confirm tariff eligibility and do a quick site assessment from available data

2
TCMAT analysis -- your actual number

If you shared utility data, Henry runs your 8,760-hour interval data and returns a site-specific savings estimate, not a range

3
30-minute site call

We walk through the numbers, confirm site fit, and talk through what a host agreement looks like. At the end of the day, we're installing a battery about the size of two large refrigerators -- straightforward equipment, simple agreement.

While you wait -- send us your bill

The fastest way to get a precise number before our call is a recent utility bill. Forward any statement (PDF, screenshot, or photo) to hmeyer@emergentmicrogrid.com and we'll run the analysis before we pick up the phone.

Already authorized UtilityAPI above? You're all set -- we'll pull the data automatically.
