Your space.
Our battery. Real revenue.
Emergent Microgrid installs, owns, and operates utility-scale battery storage on your property. You provide the land — we handle everything else, and pay you for it every year.
-
💰
Annual ground-lease income Steady, contracted revenue from land you're not actively using. No capital investment required from you.
-
⚡
Unlock electrical capacity expansion Hosting creates a direct path to upgrade your own service — add equipment, EV chargers, or new load without a multi-year utility waitlist. This alone can be worth more than the lease.
-
🌱
Grid support for your community Your land helps defer costly substation upgrades and supports cleaner, more reliable electricity for the surrounding area.
-
🏗️
We own and operate everything Engineering, permitting, installation, maintenance — Emergent handles it all. Your involvement after signing is minimal.
-
📉
Slash peak demand charges Discharge during peak windows to cut the spikes that drive your utility bill.
-
🔌
Backup power capability Keep critical loads running during outages — no generator required.
-
💵
MA utility incentives Program incentives significantly offset project costs. We run a site model before any commitment.
Your next transformer upgrade might come from hosting us.
In Massachusetts, the queue for new electrical service capacity — whether you want to add manufacturing equipment, EV charging stations, or simply support more tenants — can take years and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hosting a 5MW battery system creates a meaningful relationship with your local utility and positions you to access expanded electrical infrastructure as part of the project conversation. It's not guaranteed, but it's a real door that doesn't open any other way.
If electrical capacity is a constraint on your business growth today, this may be the single highest-value benefit of a host partnership.
From first call to first check
Site qualification
We review your property — size, utility territory, location, and zoning. Most commercial and industrial sites qualify. It typically takes one call and a recent utility bill.
Permitting & engineering
Emergent handles all engineering, environmental review, and permit applications at our cost. Your involvement is minimal — usually a signature or two on authorization forms.
Installation & lease income
3–5 weatherproof 20-foot containers and a transformer are installed on your site. Once commissioned, annual ground-lease payments begin. We own and operate the system for the full lease term.
Talk to a real person
Whether you have a specific property in mind or just want to understand how the program works — reach out. We do a quick site check in the first conversation and tell you what, if anything, makes sense for your location.
