For 5MW hosts — a hidden benefit

Your next transformer upgrade might come from hosting us.

In Massachusetts, the queue for new electrical service capacity — whether you want to add manufacturing equipment, EV charging stations, or simply support more tenants — can take years and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Hosting a 5MW battery system creates a meaningful relationship with your local utility and positions you to access expanded electrical infrastructure as part of the project conversation. It's not guaranteed, but it's a real door that doesn't open any other way.

If electrical capacity is a constraint on your business growth today, this may be the single highest-value benefit of a host partnership.

The Process

From first call to first check

1
📋

Site qualification

We review your property — size, utility territory, location, and zoning. Most commercial and industrial sites qualify. It typically takes one call and a recent utility bill.

2
📄

Permitting & engineering

Emergent handles all engineering, environmental review, and permit applications at our cost. Your involvement is minimal — usually a signature or two on authorization forms.

3
🔋

Installation & lease income

3–5 weatherproof 20-foot containers and a transformer are installed on your site. Once commissioned, annual ground-lease payments begin. We own and operate the system for the full lease term.

Talk to a real person

Whether you have a specific property in mind or just want to understand how the program works — reach out. We do a quick site check in the first conversation and tell you what, if anything, makes sense for your location.
